This event was held in the Freemason’s Hall in George Street, Edinburgh, on Wednesday 3rd October 2012 from 10 am till 2 pm.
The Surfers went along and thoroughly enjoyed looking and spending. There were so many stalls covering all the handcrafts and skills which meant lots of temptations. The home-baking and jams attracted a lot of attention as did the bags of tablet. The main attractions were the knitting and crochet stalls; the handwork was out of this world, including quilts, cushion covers and simple things like pouches for ‘specs’, mobile phones and notebooks. There were also unusual items, doorstops, lavender bags and lavender dolls which caught the eye.
The Surfers – and the Tutors – bought ‘goodies’ and some forward shopping for Christmas.
It was an enjoyable couple of hours and we are sure it was profitable for Treasure Trove.
