ACE IT out in the community !

Launch Event with Trust Housing Association

ACE IT were approached to run 6 week taster sessions using iPads and tablets for the tenants at their independent living complex in Stockbridge.

The taster were so successful that ACE IT were asked to return and run more sessions for another 6 weeks!

Tenants say they thought the sessions were “fun, informative and interesting.”

As the tasters were successful, Trust Housing Association decided to give the tenant’s access to Wi-Fi services at a special launch event.

After a brief welcome there was a game of digital bingo followed by an explanation of the Trust’s Digital Participation Project.  Stockbridge has been the pilot for the whole project and has been judged as a great success.

Esther’s role as a digital champion was highlighted and Esther was asked to assist Sheila in cutting the ribbon to turn on the Wi-Fi.

The launch event was great fun and having proved the benefits of using the Internet to the residents, Wi-Fi will be rolled out to all of the Trust’s properties in Scotland.

So congratulations to ACE IT volunteers Kay and Alan for making the project a hit with the tenants. As a direct result ACE IT will be providing more taster sessions at the Trust Housing’s complex in Corstorphine later in the year.
